The premises above is currently number 34 and occupied by Spring Way Chinese Takeaway. This was originally number 36 which was shared by two businesses according to Kelly’s Directories. At some point around 1892 this property was changed to number 34, more than likely due to the building work that altered the adjoining businesses as described in the pages previous to this. The owners then merged it with the next premises at what became 36 (the property to the left of Spring Way above) it was then unmerged in the Twenties . This makes documenting it’s history a little complicated but here goes:
