By 1881 Mr Ryan can be seen living at the same property however the family lineup is quite different. Most notably he has a new wife called Ellen. It also appears that his son’s William and Alexander have left home. It is unclear what happened to Sabina Ryan, it appears Ellen is now raising Sabina’s youngest two children John and Mary.
