A MONEYLENDERS MISTAKE

Rosslyn Stuart, of Brixton Road, London, was charged at Dudley Police Court yesterday with a contravention of the Betting and Loans (Infants) Act. Dolly Brough, a juvenile comedienne, stated that last month, she received money on a note of hand. She was nineteen years of age and had been on the stage for eight years. She used to advertise herself as Little Dolly Brough, but did not do so now. The defendant said that many so-called juvenile artistes were not of tender years. He was ordered to pay a fine of £14 and costs, or, in default, a months imprisonment.
