Number 46 is the left hand half of what is now Adulis, an Eritrean restaurant. Number 46 was at first number 48 until renumbering around 1898.

    British & Argentine was a merger of the River Plate fresh meat co & Jas Nelson & son in 1914, By 1923 the Vestey bros, Union Cold storage co bought them out & Hammetts was a subsidery. I expect in later life the shop was a Dewhurst.
